They're in! The 2 new sewing patterns Amy Butler releases this Fall just arrived today.

 

Here are some more views of these patterns in other Love fabrics. I always find it interesting to see a pattern made with a different size print and colors.

The dark background fabrics in Love collection are perfect for women clothing, among the numerous uses you may already have in mind for them! :)

Amy Butler Love collection arrived in Canada!

The much awaited Amy Butler's Love collection arrived this week in Canada! You'll find the entire collection in my shop, available as yardage, fat quarters bundles and kits.

The collection is divided in "Heart" and "Soul" colorways, I've put together a fat quarters set for each and one for the whole collection. That's 26 fabrics to play with!

Amy Butler has also released new free patterns, among which this Sexy Hexy "Love" Quilt. I'm pretty excited to offer the fabric kit in the shop, this is the first quilt kit at Flair for Fabric!

Amy Butler describes the collection in these words : "I've gone over-the-top with prints and color to make a luscious and yet "bite-sized" collection of 26 quilting/fashion weight fabrics and 12 home dec weight fabrics. A marriage by design coming from a love affair of rich, soulful, organic florals and architectural prints passionately inspired by my recent trips to Indonesia and England. Rich tropical colors with ethnic imprints and elegance found in over the top florals like full roses and exploding peony blossoms join together in an optimistic celebration of print and color."

New Arrival : Organic/Eco-Friendly Fat Quarters by Repeat Studio

I just received a collection of fat quarters by independent fabric designers Repeat Studio. They're screenprinted by hand on organic/eco-friendly fabric and the designs are pretty and modern.

Isnt't the jars print perfect for Fall projects?

New in the shop : Favorite Things Sewing Patterns

New in the shop this week is a selection of Favorite Things Sewing Patterns.  These patterns are designed and made in Canada and Leslie Gladman, one of the designers behind the brand, is the nicest person. You'll find two stylish garments patterns for Fall : a flattering fitted coat with faux double breast and empire waist and a versatile classic shirt with mutiple options.

 

You'll also find practical lunch bag and billfold patterns.  One thing I love about Favorite Things patterns is that there often are fat quarters options; the Lunch Bag, for instance, can be made out of 4 fat quarters. How fun is this?

New Arrivals : Mezzanine, Dance With Me and French Hatbox

There have been a lot of new arrivals in the past month, all new collections I'm very happy to offer you.

Yesterday, I received Mezzanine collection by Patty Young.  I still have 3 bolts to receive to have the complete collection, but you already have plenty of choice!  That's the first time I carry all fabrics in a collection, so you can guess I'm very excited about this one! :)

Patty has been inspired by a travel to Europe and the architectural elements of old buildings.  You can learn more about the collection in this excellent interview with Patty Young on TrueUp.

Patty says her next collection, Flora and Fauna, takes her outside her comfort zone.  That'll be very interesting to follow!  She also has new sewing patterns to add to her growing collection this Fall, looking forward that too.

Next collection new to Flair for Fabric this summer is Dance With Me by Jennifer Paganelli (Sisboom).  Rich in saturated colors and funky prints, one of the favorite in this collection is the cheater cloth.

You'll also find a delicate yet modern floral paisley I carry in most colors.

Also new in the shop this summer is Tanya Whelan's French Hatbox collection.  

Inspired by 19th century French designs in saturated and candy colors, this collection is sure to please her many fans!

I'm also in complete admiration of her upcoming line, Dolce.  Different from the shabby chic style of her current collections, we still recognize her delicate designs with a very modern twist.  She'll also be introducing a new bag pattern soon.  Just can't wait!

New Sewing Books section and a sale to celebrate!

I'm so proud to open a new "aisle" in the store : sewing books!  I'm a total book worm and I find that I'm more and more interested in practical books as I grow older.  The new generation of crafts and sewing books is amazing.  You know what I mean if you've read some in the past 5-7 years.  If you haven't, well, you're missing something!  They're beautiful, the projects are modern and they're written in friendly and helpful tone.  The books themselves are well-designed : some are even spiral-bound so they lay flat on your table as you're realizing the projects and they have reusable pattern sheets inserted.  I'm carrying books by crafters, designers and bloggers : Amy Butler, Amy Karol, Lotta Jansdotter, Aranzi Aronzo, etc...

New Arrival : Valori Wells Del Hi new Fabric Collection

I'm very happy to offer Valori Wells new fabric collection Del Hi.  This collection has been inspired by the love of dahlias and features graphic butterflies and botanicals prints in two colorways : vibrant Mediterranean and classic High Desert.  Nostalgic in spirit it definitely has a modern touch too.

One of the main collection print that will probably draw your attention is Pom Pom, in Scarlet color below.  I love how Valori uses big paint brush strokes, an effect we don't often see in fabric designs.

It's been only about 10 days since I carry a selection of this collection and the following Tango in Teal has been super popular.  It's another of the main collection print that features big graphic butterflies and dahlias in sand and teal colors.  I'd see it on a big tote or carry-all, and you?

For those who'd like to have a glimpe on the collection, I've setup a vibrant pink and orange 3 fat quarters bundle.

I've also mixed and matched with Heather Bailey's Pop Garden and Tanya Whelan's Ava Rose and Darla to offer this 7 fat quarters set composed of graphics prints in red, orange and pink.  I think it's perfect for a little girl's out of the ordinary quilt.

I'll carry a more extensive range in the High Desert colorway in August, stay tuned.

Just in : Erin McMorris Wildwood, many fun matches with other designers

I now have in stock Wildwood, Erin McMorris's newest collection, released in May.  It features natural and modern prints in citrus colors : leaves, forests, bold graphic flowers, etc.  I have four styles in stock now and will be adding more late July.

These fabric can easily be matched with many other designers.  I've found matches with Heather Ross's Mendocino, Heather Bailey's Pop Garden and Amy Butler's Midwest Modern.  You can see them all by visiting each Wildwood fabric details page.  I point you in particular to Forest in Lime, an excellent basic with a wide range of matches.

Among many uses, the citrus colors make this collection particularly suitable for anything that goes in your kitchen.  It would make very nice summery placemats and coasters on your terrace table as well. Just in : Heather Ross Mendocino collection (yes, the mermaids!)

You've probably already seen this popular collection.  I find it very versatile and perfect for summer.  Soft and fun for baby, toddler and children sewing yet ultra feminine and modern for handbags, purses, sundresses and embellishing your home.  

I have a selection of underwater sisters, giant octopi, seahorses in fuchsia, plum, gold and blush.

Modkid Boutique Sewing Patterns by Patty Young have arrived

They are simply suberp.  They have just arrived and are ready to ship from Canada.  Go to Flair for Fabric Etsy shop.  Other sewing patterns are available there and I'm listing new ones daily.  

Here's Emma, a 3-pieces ensemble: a petal jumper, a twirl skirt (isn't it taking you back to your childhood?) and a handbag.  

Here's Kyoko, an asian inspired shirt and dress.  The "Sophie 3-way Pants" that you see on the picture are part of the next set of sewing patterns to be released by Patty Young around June-July 2009.
