It's not an easy post to write, believe me! I'm closing the shop on Friday, December 4th 2009.
There's a Store Closing Clearance Sale starting now and ending at midnight on December 4th.
- 30% off all fabrics
- 40% off all sewing patterns
- Shipping is free in Canada on all orders
I've started this shop with the goal to have a project of my own while staying at home raising my 2 little boys. I had not thought it would take so much of my time and I'm now simply rebalancing the work-life balance in favor of my family.
As I want this closing to also be a happy event, I'm launching a fun shop closing giveaway to thank you all. I'll be giving away 3 fabulous packages of fabrics, books and patterns. You get 1 entry for each yard of fabric and each sewing pattern you buy. Nothing to do on your side, I'll be compiling the entries and announce the winners in the week after the shop closes. I'll give more details about each prize composition in an upcoming post.
Sophie,
I'm so sad to read this posting - I'm happy for you though. Family is so important and your little boys are going to love having mommy around more.
Keep in touch
all the best,
Tara

Sophie,
What a hard decision that must have been for you! I totally understand, almost too well, in fact. I also started my business to be able to stay home with my children, and it is a constant struggle not to let it infringe on my family time at home with them. They are only young once, it is such a precious time, and so important to be present with them.
Best of luck to you, I'm so glad I've gotten to meet you here + on twitter.
best of luck!!

I'm so sad that you are closing your store. But I completely understand. I was a stay at home mom for 7 years. Even when I went back to work it was very difficult to manage all the family stuff. I still stuggle with it sometimes. I'm glad that you were able to make the right choice for yourself and your family. Wish you all the best!!! Hugs Ariane

Best of luck to you in all your future endeavours & enjoy every moment with your children.
